Home Sweet Home

Well Shanna and Kalysa made it home!

They are both doing great and Klaysa didn't complain about her living arraingments, she has actually been a very satisfied kid, not crying without a reason. Of course Shanna and I are learning if you check their bum, burp them and feed them that usually is a cure all for anything a newborn cares about. You can hug and luv them as much as you want but if they have the smallest amount of pee in their diaper and have realized it, they will cry until it is completely dry. even though daddy is loving them and holding them saying it will be alright.

Makes ya feel kinda dumb when you put a fresh diaper on and they are asleep before you get it fastened up.
Here are the big brothers as proud as they can be! how cute, now if we could get them to rough house a little quieter all would be well.

VERNAL POLICE DEPARTMENT

Well last night I had a weird thing happen!

I went to the Police Department bar-b-que and was given an award.

Street Officer of the Year. WOW I was pretty excited about this, I have worked hard but of course still played hard all year, and for some reason I was able to achieve this award. With the birth of Kalysa and the award back to back it was a good two days.

I have been employed by Vernal City for over a year now, July 15, 2007 to now. I have been able to do things in this department that I have always wanted to do. On February 15, 2008 I was issued a K9. Her name is Sammy, and we have been really doing well together. It feels good to have this opportunity. In the past the possibility of being a K9 handler was held out in front of me like a rabbit with a carrot, but I asked Chief Jensen for the opportunity and it was granted.

A friend of mine Brent Hatch was the current handler and had the opportunity to go to Alaska and be a trooper which would leave Sammy without a handler. I was able to work with Brent for two weeks to get to know the dog and a crash course on what to do and the next thing you know I am a K9 handler. I have had the other handlers in the basin help me a lot namely Andrew Cox, and Bevin Watkins. I was mostly lucky because she was already a great dog.

I have worked other agencies and have never felt like I was at home until Vernal City. Every employee here seems as though they are a friend or part of a brotherhood with me. At no time in this department have I felt "alone". The supervisors are awesome. It is such a great place to work with enthusiastic veterans to new guys wanting to stop crime with everyone else.

I guess you know I will have to work extra hard this coming year so I can try for back to back awards! (that would be weird).

Kalysa Sha Eskelson

Well Shanna did it again!!!
We have another beautiful baby, Kalysa "Lysa" is a healthy baby girl.

She was 7 pounds and 10 ounces, and 20.5 inches long.
Her brothers are so proud and Daddy is a happy feller' too.
Shanna is very healthy and doing really well. It never made me realize how much we had been missing until our little girl was born.

I hope you can admire these photos until you make it over to see her. Isn't she so Chubby?

Waiting and waiting.....

Well we went to the Doctor today and have been told that Shanna is dialated to a 2 and ready to have the baby.

We have been patient so far but are really getting ready to see this little thing that has caused so many things in our lives to change.

I have a big training in Logan to certify with Sam the dog on the 8,9,10 of Sept. I worry that is too soon to the babies birth but Shanna asures me she will be fine.

I hope that the house is on order and ready for the addition of our new child. It i sso weird because with the birth of this one we are so much more comfortable than the other two. She will already have her own room, and even bathroom if she wants. She has clothes, diapers, chairs, and all kinds of things that with our other two took alot of hard work and saving to acquire. She is definately going to be spoiled.

I still need to figure out how to put pictures on this thing and I could show the world my wonderful life, and family.

A new thing

Well today marks the start of a new type of communication for me. I will attempt to be a "blogger"!

I have taken on great challenges and triupmantly suceeded on most of all this will be a true challenge.

Currently I am married to a very loving person, Shanna, because of her and her ability to help me choose right over wrong I have been blessed with two wonderful little boys, and soon will have a little girl running around. I have the career.. wow I know, I have wanted since childhood, and we live in a very nice area in a comfortable home.

Kamryn our Oldest is definately my "mini me". Poor little kid looks just like me and has the same perosnality. I can understand now why parents would tell me to calm down so much as a kid. He will be in second grade this year and is truely a genious. He is reading novels, and knows his math, and grammer very well. I have so much fun watching him interact with adults and children he is always the life of the party.

Korrey our second is almost completely opposite of Kamryn. He is very true to his opinion if you like it or not. He will not be as tall as Kamryn but has the fight of a lion inside of him. He is very huggy and lovey. He has a wonderful sense of humor but you need to be around awhile before he will let you in on his feelings. He is very reservd on who he will communicate with. But take him fishing or looking for deer and you'll have a buddy for the rest of your life, well as long as you don't make him mad.

Our baby girl, maybe "Taylor" will be born any day now. We are so suprised that heavenly father is giving us a girl after how mean our little boys are. she better be very strong. I'm sure her brothers will treat just right. They are both so excited that mom will no longer be the only girl.

Shanna has just recently completed her schooling to be a nail technition, but she is no longer doing that as a job because she is having our princess soon. She is a great mother, our boys love her so much and all of the neices and nefews love her too. I am so lucky to find someone so neat to be with, and she is pretty darn cute too.

I am currently working with Vernal City Police Department. I am on patrol, and the only K9 Vernal City has right now. My dog "Sam" and I are doing really well, She has assisted me in numerous drug seizures so far, and we are just waiting for the right knucklehead she can introduce her biting skills too. I have worked for several departments either full time or reserving and I am more happy with the Vernal City department than any other I am been involved with. It has some of the best officers and supervisors I could ask for. Of course I have worked around several wonderful officers and had a lot of great supevisors, I feel I just fit in here and will plan on finishing my career with this department.

About Me

My photo
We live in Vernal Utah, our family enjoys the outdoors and mostly laughing (at one another). It is great to be an Eskelson! The boys are true Xbox maniacs, while Kalysa loves to eat sleep and poop her pants, (as the boys say it. Shanna and I love our family, and each other so much.
