Thanksgiving with the cousins

Well this Thanksgiving was the Eskelson sides turn. Which was awesome cause of the new babies and all the new things in life on that side. We went my parents new house, which is awesome, and both Mike and his family, and Brandon and his fmaily showed up!

Kalysa got to spend time with the twins, they are almost the same size. It is awesome to see them both do so well. It is fun, you hardly have to try and they both smile at you and brighten the day. It is awesome to see from where they have come from. I just kept remembering the night they were born seeing Dr. Nolte carrying Carsen down the hallway in one hand and the other one on top of him. He almost fit in the Dr's hand. Now you can tell they were early but only if you know how old they are, what beautiful kids!

Anyway here is a picture of Kalysa and Cierra. They thought each other was worthy of their attention. They will be good friends when they grow up hopefully.

Yes the dark haired one is Kalysa and the other is Cierra.

I also have cute pictures of the twins close up the one on the left is Cierra, the right you guessed it....

Well Thanksgiving was fun! Seeing how much the family has grown and how much we all still like each other is awesome. All of the kids ran and played and us brothers and our wives sat and visited with my parents.

Bring on Christmas!!!!!!

This is the first night Kalysa was in her crib in her own room she only woke up 1 time it was awsome.

I just have a quick story to tell on Monday Rod and I were so excited for the boys to get home from school we had made cookies and were waiting on the front porch for the bus. Well when the boys got off Korrey started to cry and Rod noticed they were both covered in blood, and Korrey had a bloody napkin wrapped around his hand. As I brought him into the house Rod yelled at the bus driver telling her she had a responsibility for the kids she drives around. So to make a long story short He cut his finger with a STRAW ( how does this happen who knows) and we had to rush him to urgent care, were he had to get 3 stitches in his as they call it left bad finger. After the boys had the best brotherly story (it will melt your heart). So I guess when it happened they tried to tell the bus driver but she wouldn't listen and told them to sit down. So Korrey was holding his finger but the blood started to get on his pants and shirt so Kamryn put his hands around Korrey's so he wouldn't get more on his clothes. Well then Kamryn said he just kept telling him he would be home soon and how proud he was of him for not crying. Kor said Kam was the best big brother ever for helping him. This brotherly love continued at the urgent care when Kam was so worried for Korrey that he couldn't sit and watch the doc. give him a shot to numb it. They are truly best friend and the best to boys a mom and dad could have.

Best buddies

Ever since Korrey was born there has been a natural bond between him and Kamryn. Kamryn would go nowhere unless he knew what was going on with his "brudder" or "baby". It continues today. Kam and Kor have been the funnest kids to watch, if one is interested in something the other is naturally entrigued.

They have been doing a sleep over night every weekend ever since I can remember. The main rule was the bed on the floor had to be cleaned up by noon and the sleep over could not happen on school nights. Kamryn was always a happy camper on the floor in Korrey's room or they both could fit on Kamryns bed in his room, of course this got Shanna and I lots of laughs listening to them plan out their next day, and make believe.

Shanna and I just recently decided we needed our space back in our room, nonetheless Kalysa is getting tall enough her basenet is almost too small. We had to break the news to the boys that either one of them had to move downstairs, as scary as the down stairs is! Or else they would have to share Korrey's room, cause Kalysa was going to need to move into her crib in Kamryns room.

Of course because nobody dared to move downstairs to their own bathroom and closer to the Xbox 360, and all of what I thought they would have loved, they are both in Korry's room.

The first thing Kamryn said when his bed was made and his toys had been moved was "Dad now you can't say we can't have sleep overs anymore! every night is a sleep over!" of course Korrey gives Kamryn a high five and for I think the first time in their brotherhood they actually hit hands, of course hard enough they had to hold them between their legs for awhile of course laughing at each other.

So now every night we have heard about GI Joe's and Mosnter trucks, and how they are Ninja's and all the crazy stuff boys Love.

Most of all they are such great friends that they tell each other where to meet at recess the next day so they can play together. I rememeber playing at recess with my brothers, I just hope that they continue to be best buddies until they are old like my brothers and I are.

One of the most in common beliefs right now is how much they love Kalysa, or "Sissy" as they call her.

Life seems so stressful until you think like a child, who cares about anything but love. I have tried this for these days off.

I have been working for Michael or trying to get overtime, but not these days off. I took the boys shooting, and tried to spend time with Shanna, we actually went on a date, First movie we've been to in over a year!
I have been calling lunch with her and Kalysa my date with two cute chicks! It has been a great set of days off. I have tried to get on the floor with the boys and wrestle and play and laugh, what a blessing to have four people love you as much as my family does me! I am a lucky sucker.
I have been a jerk to people in my life and not the nicest guy but for some weird reason these boys think everything I say and do is the coolest thing in the world. I feel like a superhero when I'm with them. One time fishing with a friend Kamryn took his t shirt off. My friend Brent said "Kam your buff, but check these out" he then flexed his bicep. Kamryn without missing a beat said "not even as big as my dad's" It was not true but funny as heck!
We have weekly Halo 3 battles and I laugh at them so much witht he little sayings and things they do. Most of all kick dad's butt at a grownup video game!
I haven't done much good in this world but the blessings of my family sure makes me in debt to someone.

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Well with the presidentual race over Kamryn is prety upset, you see in school they had them vote for who they thought would be a good pres. Kamryn came home that day and told us he voted for Macain, when asked why he said "if Oboma get it he is going to take away the video games and make us all speak spanish". Well you can only imagin his face he was so serious as he told Rod and I we better do the same. Some kid at school told him and he just knew it had to be true. so according to Kam we better start buying video games because soon there wont be anymore and we better all learn spanish real fast.

A Sad Day for the Boys

Well today marks the day that Milo our sorta loved dog met his maker.

Kamryn was given Milo as a gift for his becoming potty trained, so that makes Milo almost 6 years old. That in dog years is a very old man.
The boys both took it very hard, as Milo is the inside dog that loves to be cuddled and held by both of them and has actually as bad as I hate to say it... he's been a good dog.

So please take a moment from your busy day to pet the ugly, and tell the lonely how much they mean to the world. Because someday they too will not be here to yell at and listen to barks from them coming from under the sofa as you are trying to have a pleasant birthday party.

The good thing is Kamryn was explaining the plan of salvation to Korrey and he is actually quite knowledgeable on the subject. So it puts our minds at ease knowing Milo is in heaven preparing a spot for each of us, so when we go to heaven we can be that much more prepared, Thanks Milo. We will miss you.

So we can end on a good note here is a picture of our princess with a big smile on her face!

The goingons at our house

Well i just have to say how rude of Rod to put such a dorky picture of me on here.

So just a little news Kalysa just turned 2 months on the 21st and she is now 11 pounds 4 oz. and 22 1/2 in. long she is growing so fast. The doc said she can now drink apple juice (it has been great) ever sense she started to drink it she has only been waking up once a night. Oh to sleep for more than 2 hours its like heaven.

Korrey is loving school which is surprising because he is such a contrary little boy. He is making lots of new friends and even got invited to a girls birthday party (and wants to go) we all know how he feels about girls. He has become more like Rod and loves to hunt he think he needs a 22 for Christmas and if Rod has anything to say about it he will get it. He has even started to tease like Rod, the other morning Kamryn and him were eating and I kept telling Kamryn to stop talking and eat his food when Korrey said (ya or why don't you just put more food in your mouth and jabber jabber jabber so we can all see it gross) I started laughing so hard I had to go call Rod and tell him.

Kamryn is also doing well he loves school and as you can guess has lots of friends and girlfriends. He is always telling us who has crushes on who and what girls chase him at recess like right now he has a crush on Jacy but she likes mason (its like a little soap opera in 2nd grade). He too has become a smart alec like Rod and is quick with the comebacks. Like last night Rod was teasing him that he was going to move to Alaska and find a new wife and kids but the second time he said it he messed up and said he was going to find a new husband and kids, oh the gate waters were opened and Kamryn picked it up and ran with it teasing him for about 10 minutes.

Well as you see we don't have many meals were we are not laughing our butts off, we have a pretty great and fun family and I am glad there mine.

Me Again!!!!!!!

Well I knew it Shanna took over! I guess my posts are all too boring.

She put a picture on my computer trying to be cute, so I thought I would let everyone see the weirdo in the family. I know you all thought it had to be me with Kamryn coming in at a close second place, but here is proof Kam and I are actually quite normal.

Hunting this year was quite fun, My dad shot a three by two and Mike shot a three by four, and my lucky butt got to see deer! I know I am a loser.

The Elk hunt was fun, Mike and I hunted our tails off. I actually saw three nice bulls but only shot at one. It was a tough shot in the jack pines, and I could make all the excuses in the world but as you guessed it we will be buying our meat this year.

Here is a cool rock wall I found and Michael couldn't resist doing the Vanna White next to it.

He is as weird as Shanna! No wonder I like both of them.

This is a picture of the buck Michael shot.

It's not as big as our last year bucks but was a nice deer, someone had shot it in the fornt shoulder and it was limping pretty bad, so Michael is not only a nice guy but should be considered for the retard of the year award or something. Just kidding of course they don't do those awards anymore.

Well I will let my lovely wife continue to blast the Bogspot up with her boring entries, and hopefully it will still be visited by everyone.

I couldn't resist putting a picture of the brats on here too!

The boys were all excited to go up hunting, they spent the night in grandma and grandpas camper. They were having a great time

UNTIL.......

The accidents happened!!!!

First Kamryn got his leg hurt buy the trailer as everyone was trying to help him Korrey fell backwards off of the 4 wheeler, so here they are both crying and hurt. Kams leg and Korreys butt. They wanted to go home but we talked them out of it the rest of the day ended up being pretty fun.

Well Kalysa started out in a cute camo sweet suit with a camo hoody but as babies go she had an accident and ended up in pink, not like she did much hunting she mostly slept in the camper but here she is all cuddled up and asleep.

Pappa John and his deer a 2x3

The hunt is on

Well for the last week Rod has been hunting first deer which his dad and brother both shot one but not him. (I'll add pictures later) Now he is after elk I hope he has better luck with this one. We went up yesterday to bring up some stuff to the mountain, Kamryn was ridding with his uncle Mike so as we pulled into camp he saw a bear warning sign on a tree and refused to come out of the truck until they told him that Mike had come up earlier that week and put the sign there so no one would take there great camping spot (a total lie but it worked). Well we are still trying to sell or house and have had a few interested but no bites. Kalysa is getting big and will be 7weeks old on Thursday speaking of our cute little bundle we are going to bless her on the 12th of Oct. our church starts at 11:00 but if you plan on coming show up at 10:30 seats fill up fast, we go to the church on the bonanza highway. As for Korrey he loves school but gets frustrated because he sits with all girls but does not like girls at all (you know they all have cooties) at his parent teacher conference his teacher said he is a very good colorer and listens very well. At Kamryn p.t.c. his teacher told us his test scores were the second highest in the 2nd grade we told him how proud of him we were and all he could say was who is the 1st. I just had my 6 week apt. and all is back in its place well almost that is why I am excited to have the ok to go to the gym sense everyone has been to the new rec center but me well hope to see you at the blessing.

Thumb sucker

Kalysa sucking her thumb

oh man

we wanted a binky baby

not a thumb sucker!
She is sooo cute

Our Family

Awww look at our cute family
(even Korrey with his funny little face he's pulling)

From 4 to 7 in 4 months

Well we finally got the new cousins together, Rods parents are a little overwhelmed with grand kids adding 3 all born within 4 months to the 4 they already have. Kalysa you know is ours is 3 weeks old here, Cierra and Carsen are twins and are 4 1/2 months old they belong to Brandon. We couldn't wait to get them all together, and hope they will be good friends.

Thursday, September 18, 2008

Korrey is always picking up change off the ground he can see a dime a mile away. So when Rod told him to go get his change and they would go turn it into dollars he was surprised when he ended up with over $75.oo in one dollar bills. It was so much he couldn't fit it in his wallet. As you can guess it is almost gone now but he thinks it was well spent on a stormtrooper helmet and part of it went to a new Xbox paddle for Dads birthday (so the three of them can play at the same time). Isn't he cute!

Kamryn on his first day of 2nd grade he is such a handsome boy its only 1 month into school and he already has 3 girls chasing him at recess. He hates it and keeps telling them he just wants to be there friends and to stop chasing him.
He's such a cool kid.
Our little sun baby in her suitcase

adjusting to our new addition

Well Rod hasn't writen anything recently so I thought I would, we are finally setilling in with the new addition to our familly. Kalysa had a rough go at the start she had jondace really bad and they almost put her in the hospital but instead they sent her home with a suitcase with lights in it, she hated it so bad and so did I. Now just as she is not yellow anymore she has thrush, it is good she is such a great baby. Well the boys are adjusting well but this might have something to do with the Xbox 360 that Rod bought them when we brought the baby home. They do love there new baby sis and already have nicknames for her like sissy and lysa, and not a hour goes buy that Kamryn isn't kissing her on the head. And don't even mention Rod he jumps to check on her every time she makes a peep he is sooo cute with her, she already has him wraped around her little finger and shes only 4 weeks old. I know she is going to be a daddys girl.

Home Sweet Home

Well Shanna and Kalysa made it home!

They are both doing great and Klaysa didn't complain about her living arraingments, she has actually been a very satisfied kid, not crying without a reason. Of course Shanna and I are learning if you check their bum, burp them and feed them that usually is a cure all for anything a newborn cares about. You can hug and luv them as much as you want but if they have the smallest amount of pee in their diaper and have realized it, they will cry until it is completely dry. even though daddy is loving them and holding them saying it will be alright.

Makes ya feel kinda dumb when you put a fresh diaper on and they are asleep before you get it fastened up.
Here are the big brothers as proud as they can be! how cute, now if we could get them to rough house a little quieter all would be well.

VERNAL POLICE DEPARTMENT

Well last night I had a weird thing happen!

I went to the Police Department bar-b-que and was given an award.

Street Officer of the Year. WOW I was pretty excited about this, I have worked hard but of course still played hard all year, and for some reason I was able to achieve this award. With the birth of Kalysa and the award back to back it was a good two days.

I have been employed by Vernal City for over a year now, July 15, 2007 to now. I have been able to do things in this department that I have always wanted to do. On February 15, 2008 I was issued a K9. Her name is Sammy, and we have been really doing well together. It feels good to have this opportunity. In the past the possibility of being a K9 handler was held out in front of me like a rabbit with a carrot, but I asked Chief Jensen for the opportunity and it was granted.

A friend of mine Brent Hatch was the current handler and had the opportunity to go to Alaska and be a trooper which would leave Sammy without a handler. I was able to work with Brent for two weeks to get to know the dog and a crash course on what to do and the next thing you know I am a K9 handler. I have had the other handlers in the basin help me a lot namely Andrew Cox, and Bevin Watkins. I was mostly lucky because she was already a great dog.

I have worked other agencies and have never felt like I was at home until Vernal City. Every employee here seems as though they are a friend or part of a brotherhood with me. At no time in this department have I felt "alone". The supervisors are awesome. It is such a great place to work with enthusiastic veterans to new guys wanting to stop crime with everyone else.

I guess you know I will have to work extra hard this coming year so I can try for back to back awards! (that would be weird).

Kalysa Sha Eskelson

Well Shanna did it again!!!
We have another beautiful baby, Kalysa "Lysa" is a healthy baby girl.

She was 7 pounds and 10 ounces, and 20.5 inches long.
Her brothers are so proud and Daddy is a happy feller' too.
Shanna is very healthy and doing really well. It never made me realize how much we had been missing until our little girl was born.

I hope you can admire these photos until you make it over to see her. Isn't she so Chubby?

Waiting and waiting.....

Well we went to the Doctor today and have been told that Shanna is dialated to a 2 and ready to have the baby.

We have been patient so far but are really getting ready to see this little thing that has caused so many things in our lives to change.

I have a big training in Logan to certify with Sam the dog on the 8,9,10 of Sept. I worry that is too soon to the babies birth but Shanna asures me she will be fine.

I hope that the house is on order and ready for the addition of our new child. It i sso weird because with the birth of this one we are so much more comfortable than the other two. She will already have her own room, and even bathroom if she wants. She has clothes, diapers, chairs, and all kinds of things that with our other two took alot of hard work and saving to acquire. She is definately going to be spoiled.

I still need to figure out how to put pictures on this thing and I could show the world my wonderful life, and family.

A new thing

Well today marks the start of a new type of communication for me. I will attempt to be a "blogger"!

I have taken on great challenges and triupmantly suceeded on most of all this will be a true challenge.

Currently I am married to a very loving person, Shanna, because of her and her ability to help me choose right over wrong I have been blessed with two wonderful little boys, and soon will have a little girl running around. I have the career.. wow I know, I have wanted since childhood, and we live in a very nice area in a comfortable home.

Kamryn our Oldest is definately my "mini me". Poor little kid looks just like me and has the same perosnality. I can understand now why parents would tell me to calm down so much as a kid. He will be in second grade this year and is truely a genious. He is reading novels, and knows his math, and grammer very well. I have so much fun watching him interact with adults and children he is always the life of the party.

Korrey our second is almost completely opposite of Kamryn. He is very true to his opinion if you like it or not. He will not be as tall as Kamryn but has the fight of a lion inside of him. He is very huggy and lovey. He has a wonderful sense of humor but you need to be around awhile before he will let you in on his feelings. He is very reservd on who he will communicate with. But take him fishing or looking for deer and you'll have a buddy for the rest of your life, well as long as you don't make him mad.

Our baby girl, maybe "Taylor" will be born any day now. We are so suprised that heavenly father is giving us a girl after how mean our little boys are. she better be very strong. I'm sure her brothers will treat just right. They are both so excited that mom will no longer be the only girl.

Shanna has just recently completed her schooling to be a nail technition, but she is no longer doing that as a job because she is having our princess soon. She is a great mother, our boys love her so much and all of the neices and nefews love her too. I am so lucky to find someone so neat to be with, and she is pretty darn cute too.

I am currently working with Vernal City Police Department. I am on patrol, and the only K9 Vernal City has right now. My dog "Sam" and I are doing really well, She has assisted me in numerous drug seizures so far, and we are just waiting for the right knucklehead she can introduce her biting skills too. I have worked for several departments either full time or reserving and I am more happy with the Vernal City department than any other I am been involved with. It has some of the best officers and supervisors I could ask for. Of course I have worked around several wonderful officers and had a lot of great supevisors, I feel I just fit in here and will plan on finishing my career with this department.

About Me

My photo
We live in Vernal Utah, our family enjoys the outdoors and mostly laughing (at one another). It is great to be an Eskelson! The boys are true Xbox maniacs, while Kalysa loves to eat sleep and poop her pants, (as the boys say it. Shanna and I love our family, and each other so much.
